Our flagship publication, the Northwest Observer, was launched in 1996 as an 8-page newsletter. Over the years it has evolved into a community newspaper which provides “down home news” to over 28,000 northwest Guilford County residents. We publish on the first, third and fifth Thursday of each month, and our newspapers are directly mailed to almost 13,000 northwest Guilford County homes, placed in newspaper racks for free pickup, and online 24/7.
Recognizing that newspapers can no longer reach their targeted audience in print only, we've established an online presence through the Northwest Observer website and Facebook page. A complement to our weekly newspaper, these online mediums give us the opportunity to engage our readers, provide local news, calendar events, photo galleries and much more – 24/7.
